Is this race for firefighters only?
No, anybody can enter. We want this to be an event that all members of the community
can participate in and enjoy.
Can I walk?
Yes, there will not be a separate starting time for walkers but you can run, walk, or do both.
Will the race be timed?
Yes, using Ultra Disposable Chip Timing System allowing for early packet pickup.
Can I register on race day?
Yes, the race day price is $30. Please arrive early.
Is there a fee for the kid’s fun run?
No, the kid’s fun run is FREE. We will register the kids for the fun run on race day.
Why does the race start at 8:00 am? Don't you fireman know it is HOT at 8:00 am?
Answer: Shift change at the fire department is 7:30 am. We have over 100 firefighters participate in the event and having the 8:00 am start time allows more firefighters and fire trucks to be there. Yes we know its HOT which is why we have 2 water stops, rain shower, and cooling fans at the finish.
